Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data TicketsBus collects, why we need it, who we share it with and how you can control it. Version dated 4 November 2026.

1. Who processes your data

The controller of your personal data is the Carrier that carries the passengers and operates the bus-ticket.net website. You can contact it via Telegram. We process data in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection” and, for travel to EU countries, take into account the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What data we collect

  • Buyer data: phone number, Telegram username and e-mail address (if you provided one).
  • Passenger data: first and last name; for international trips, also date of birth, passport number and nationality.
  • Order data: trip, date, seats, amount and payment status.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, cookies.

There is no online payment on the website: the payment method is agreed with the manager, so the website does not receive or store payment card details.

3. Why we need this data

  • to issue your ticket and send the carrier the passenger list for the trip;
  • to send you your ticket, receipt and notices of timetable changes or trip cancellations;
  • to contact you via Telegram about your booking;
  • to respond to your support requests;
  • to send you offers and news — only if you have given separate consent.

4. Who we share data with

Passenger data is shared with the carrier operating the trip: boarding is not possible without it. On international trips, the carrier may share passport details with border authorities in accordance with the laws of the countries on the route. We use Telegram to contact you and Google Analytics for visit statistics (anonymised page-view data). We do not sell personal data or share it with advertisers.

5. How long we keep data

Order data is kept for 3 years after the trip, as required by accounting rules and for handling claims. After that, it is anonymised or deleted. Mailing list data is kept until you unsubscribe.

6. Cookies

We use cookies to remember your language and recent searches, and to keep your reservation while you complete your booking. Analytics cookies help us understand which pages need improving. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the website may then not work properly.

7. Your rights

You have the right to know what data of yours we process, to have it corrected, to request its deletion, to withdraw your consent to mailings and data processing, and to lodge a complaint with the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights. To exercise your rights, message us on Telegram — we will reply within 30 days.

8. Data security

The website runs over HTTPS, only employees who need data for their work have access to it, and all actions involving data are logged. We will post any changes to this policy on this page.
